The World Loves Melbourne recently visited CH James and the Fairfield Community Garden to see our sustainability project in action. Here is the article: "CH James is setting the pace when it comes to cafe sustainability, storing up its weekly coffee grinds and food scraps for the last 2 years, and giving them to the fabulous Fairfield Community Garden. The World Loves Melbourne caught up with Kat from CH James and Ken and Annette from the Fairfield Community Garden to see how it all works, and go on a tour of the garden.
At CH James we celebrate seasonal fresh produce. With the change of seasons we always make some changes, keeping some of our signatures and bringing in new dishes. A new pasta dish, for example, is the perfect winter warmer. The World Loves Melbourne has written about some of our new dishes.

With a target of $15,000 and looking to fund education of 100 Syrian children for a year, CH James hosted the Collateral Repair Project charity event. Would they meet their challenging target? The World Loves Melbourne attended the event and was moved by the speeches by refugees and the inspiration of the event. (article sourced from The World Loves Melbourne).
Are you passionate about the Syrian refugee situation? Christopher Krambias, Jey Jeyabala and Matthew Butera (all of refugee or migrant background) have organised a fund raising event at CH James for the Collateral Repair Project (CRP), a grassroots organisation working out of Amman, Jordan to provide basic support to refugees. The event will be held on November 4th and ticket numbers are already strong. This is a great cause where the money goes to the grassroots need not to the administrators. It's a charity that Christopher and CH James have supported in the past - and the event they held at CH James last year was a great success. We are encouraging everyone to get on board with this project.
