Leading Melbourne bloggers Gastrology have recently reviewed CH James.
CH James boasts a convivial atmosphere in which to enjoy a lazy weekend brunch.
Seamlessly integrating the outdoors with the indoors, the ambience is bright and welcoming.
The menu features Modern Australian items that please with fresh, innovative and great quality products courtesy of Head chef Tallon who has an impressive background in fine dining establishments in Melbourne.
As expected of any great café, CH James delivers quality coffee (Small Batch) poured by adept baristas.
We loved tasting our way through the new menu.
Highlights included the Chia Pudding - a delightfully healthy and delicious dish.
For something heartier, we recommend the prawn linguini - perfectly al dente ribbons of pasta are tossed with sweet peas, broadbeans and cherry tomatoes.
Another showstopper was the lamb shoulder fry-up. This was a hearty dish served with generous serves of tender lamb, fried eggs, hash brown, smoked yoghurt, dukkah, salsa verde and toast.
Another popular dish (and our personal favourite) was the Vegie Nourish Bowl. This is a dish mum would approve of and does not compromise on flavour. A colourful assembly of house cured salmon, avocado, quinoa, charred corn, kale, cauliflower pakora, cucumber kimchi and finished with a perfectly poached egg.
CH James is the perfect embodiment of a thriving café. A festive hub that is unique to Fairfield and Melbourne.
